Calligramme Art to Future Self
When creating the image, I chose a simple silhouette because I grew up cheerleading so that was something I did every day and was a simple representation of my appearance. I assume in the future I’ll continue the athletic lifestyle because my mother also is very into it at her age. Rather than choosing to make the entire photo pink after the barbie reference and as I do wear pink every day, black is a much simpler color that may be more realistic in the future especially when there is so much to wonder it would be better to assume a more blank canvas. I chose to use the drawing tool and thin outline because it represents both what I think will happen but with a lot of blank space to represent all the details I remain unsure of. As of right now I do not have much of a signature style in art, but this is the beginning and it’ll only blossom from here.
Dear Jane,
It’s Jane. Does anyone still call you Janie? Did you end up working for the Lightning, or are you back up north? Currently I’m 20 and spend my days at school, with friends, and mostly at the gym or walking outside. Do you still wear matching pink outfits every day ? Are you still golfing with Dad? I want nothing more than to live a happy life back up north but not sure where my intended career takes me.
I hope all is more than well. I pray that wherever you (we) end up you’re incredibly happy. I hope that whatever happens that you have joy and success. I’m very interested in knowing where I ended up starting my career. I know right now the ideal job is a vague idea, but I hope whichever field and profession decided upon that it’s something you’re excited to be a part of. I hope you’re back in New York with the snow. Whether you work in public relations for whichever brand or hockey team or became a yoga instructor that you live a fulfilling life.
I’m sure the eating habits and cooking hasn’t changed. I hope you’re able tospend plenty of time in the kitchen experimenting to perfect recipes without following them. I would love to know if the little quirks have progressed or gone away, I hope that’s one thing that remains the same.
With whatever happened or is happening, I really hope you still have Abigail somewhere. I can(t) wait to see how life is. I really hope you don’t regret anything. I hope you’ve made a good network of friends and live a successful and enjoyable life. I hope that whether you find a passion aside from physical and nutritional health or not that you feel positively and strongly about it. I hope you branch out in hobbies, travel and just grow outside of your comfort zone. I hope you still love to learn and continue the curiosity and hard work. I hope that however life is you never lose the bright and bouncy part of you (especially the bouncy Barbie ponytail).
Love,
Janie
